Refund Policy

Clear information about cancellations, refunds, free trials, and optional one-time services.

Last updated: July 24, 2026

CheckMeIn provides subscription-based online software and optional one-time services.

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, duplicate charges, free trials, and one-time service purchases are handled.

Subscription cancellations

Customers may cancel their CheckMeIn subscription to prevent future renewal charges.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Access remains available until the end of the paid period.
  • No additional renewal charge will be made after cancellation becomes effective.
  • Cancellation does not automatically refund a completed subscription payment.

The Billing page should be used to review subscription status, renewal dates, and available cancellation options.

Subscription refunds

Subscription charges are generally non-refundable once the applicable paid billing period has started.

CheckMeIn may review a refund request when:

  • A duplicate charge occurred.
  • An incorrect amount was charged.
  • A payment was processed after a valid cancellation should have taken effect.
  • A material technical issue prevented meaningful access to the service.
  • A refund is required by applicable law.
  • CheckMeIn approves a discretionary refund based on the circumstances.

Refund requests may be approved in full, approved in part, or declined. Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.

Seven-day free trial

Eligible new customers may receive a seven-day free trial.

Where payment details are required to start the trial:

  • No subscription charge is made when the trial begins.
  • The first recurring payment is scheduled after the trial ends.
  • The exact first payment date and amount are shown before approval.
  • Cancelling before the stated trial deadline prevents the first subscription charge.

If a customer does not cancel before the trial deadline, the selected paid subscription begins automatically.

Assisted Onboarding

Assisted Onboarding is an optional one-time remote service priced separately from the subscription. Refund eligibility depends on the status of the onboarding request.

Generally:

  • A paid onboarding request that has not been scheduled may be eligible for refund review.
  • A scheduled session may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling conditions.
  • Onboarding is generally non-refundable after the session has started or been completed.
  • Duplicate or incorrect onboarding charges will be reviewed.
  • Any non-waivable legal rights continue to apply.

Cancelling a CheckMeIn subscription does not automatically refund Assisted Onboarding.

Paid add-ons

Recurring paid add-ons form part of the customer's subscription total.

Removing an add-on normally takes effect according to the date shown before confirmation, typically at the next renewal. Removing an add-on does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

One-time add-ons or services are reviewed under the terms shown for that service.

Duplicate or incorrect charges

Customers who believe they were charged more than once or charged an incorrect amount should contact CheckMeIn Support promptly.

Include:

  • Business name.
  • Account email.
  • Payment date and amount.
  • Invoice or receipt number, when available.
  • A brief explanation of the issue.

Do not send complete card numbers, passwords, security codes, or payment-account credentials.

How to request a refund

Customers may request a refund through the CheckMeIn Billing or Support page, the Contact Support form, or the payment receipt or customer billing portal where available.

A refund request should include enough information to identify the transaction safely.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method.

Processing time depends on the payment provider, the customer's financial institution, the payment method, currency conversion, and banking networks.

CheckMeIn cannot control how quickly a bank or payment provider displays an approved refund after it has been submitted.

Chargebacks and payment disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact CheckMeIn Support first so the issue can be reviewed promptly.

This does not limit a customer's right to contact their payment provider or exercise rights available under applicable law.

Changes to this policy

CheckMeIn may update this Refund Policy as the service, billing arrangements, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
